MasterCard or Visa
Put it simply, it doesn't matter. You can use them at roughly the same number of places, each is equally well accepted. You should concentrate more on the rates, fees etc. when you are choosing which card to get. Also, if you are getting two cards, you might as well get one MasterCard and one Visa, just in case something temporarily goes wrong with one of them.

Secured credit cards
If you want really, really easy to get credit cards - secured credit cards are your choice. This is a very fair game, as you will see and can be both beneficial for you and your credit card company. Basically, you give your credit card company/bank a certain amount of money as a back up for your credit card spendings. They keep that money as long as you are using their credit card and use it if you fail to pay your credit card bills. That means zero risk for both you and your credit card company. There are some good ones and there are some bad ones. Using these credit cards to rebuild credit is also a reason why many choose to use them. I will talk about that too. Examples of credit cards for poor credit include: MasterCard Tribute, Orchard Bank MasterCard, Total Visa, Imagine Gold MasterCard, Continental Finance MasterCard and many more. I will write about these too. Good luck!
